Three billion people in the world’s rural areas own small plots of land that generate minimal income. Cinch addresses this challenge by allowing smallholder landowners to enroll their land in its platform, transferring 100% of the risk from the farmer to Cinch. The company then commercializes the land, selling produce to large buyers through contracts. As a result, landowners receive a lease payment, a salary, and pro-rata dividends, significantly increasing their annual income by at least three times.
