Wavr Technologies is pioneering the development of a novel Atmospheric Water Capture technology. Their innovative approach focuses on making clean water production more accessible and affordable by harnessing atmospheric moisture, outperforming prior state of the art tech by 20x, enabling mass market direct water capture.
WAVR Technologies is pioneering a breakthrough in atmospheric water harvesting, offering a scalable and sustainable solution to water scarcity in some of the world’s driest regions. Their system leverages a novel, nature-inspired approach—using a permeable hydrogel membrane (modeled after tree frog skin) combined with a liquid desiccant to continuously capture water vapor from the air, even at humidity levels as low as 10%. This continuous, non-cyclical process enables WAVR to produce up to 20 times more water than conventional atmospheric water generators, dramatically increasing yield while reducing both energy consumption and operational costs. The technology is solid-state, low-maintenance, and can be powered by grid electricity, solar energy, or waste heat, making it adaptable for diverse settings—from remote communities and disaster relief zones to industrial facilities and urban infrastructure.
